This week Focus on the Family founder James Dobson demonstrated his worst hypocrisy to date when he threw “cold water” on a possible presidential bid by former U.S. Senator Fred Thompson while praising former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who is also weighing a presidential run. During his March 9, 2007 radio show, Dobson praised Gingrich after Gingrich admitted, on the show, of having an affair with a congressional aide during the same time he was impeaching President Bill Clinton. (U.S. News.com) Specifically, Dobson told Gingrich that he “appreciates” Gingrich’s “willingness” to share the details of his serial adultery with Dobson’s listeners and then praised Gingrich’s virtues as a politician.
