Responsible Immigration Reform

Conservatives nationally are gearing up to bash immigrants and use immigration as a wedge issue in 2006. Defend Colorado Now is the lead group in Colorado. They're pushing on the November ballot an initiative that not only would ban non-emergency services for immigrants (most of which they already can't receive), but also would allow any citizen to sue our schools, cities, county governments, or state agencies to enforce the ban. Bashing immigrants and giving Tom Tancredo's vigilantes an excuse to sue our schools is not responsible immigration reform. We need real solutions.
