Media Matters:

In purporting to "take a look back" at how the economic recovery plan "grew, and grew, and grew," Fox News' Jon Scott referenced seven dates, as on-screen graphics cited various news sources from those time periods -- all of which came directly from a Senate Republican Communications Center press release. A Fox News on-screen graphic even reproduced a typo contained in the Republican press release.

Was the information in the GOP press release incorrect?
Does it matter?

The press's job is not to regurgitate press releases from any party, organization, person, politician, or otherwise. Nobody's press release should be trusted on face value.

To understand Fox niose, er, news, you must first understand the Fox network and affiliates operate as a republican T.V. network. If you doubt this, take an objective look at what Fox puts out.

The supposed "Fair and balanced" O'Rielly is anything but fair and balanced. Ditto for Sean Hannity. Fox was the brainchild of Rhupert Murdock, the billonaire neoconservative as a counter to what he sees as a ":liberal" bias in the media. If you believe there is a liberal bias in the M.S.M., I've got some land in Rainbow City you should buy.

Lazy?? Hardly. Dishonest??.....You bet!!
