Michelle Malkin poses with Swastika Guy

That's noted right-wing shill Michelle Malkin posing with who we've dubbed "Swastika Guy," owing to the sign he carried right onto the stage with State Senator Josh Penry, Congressman Mike Coffman, Colorado GOP Chairman Dick Wadhams, State Senator Dave Schultheis, former Congressman Tom Tancredo, and Independence Institute president Jon Caldara, among others. None of whom did anything about it, and in fact one person defended the guy to one of our people saying that the swastika is not a Nazi symbol, but an honored Native American symbol.

Yeah, I am totally sure that is what Swastika Guy was referring to.

Updated--Here is the video of the whole thing.

Take your small business and shove it
By User from Houston, TX Feb 18th 2009 at 9:21 am EST (Updated Feb 18th 2009 at 9:21 am EST)
Good luck with your small business when there is no infrastructure to mover your product or your customers. Good luck with your small business when your kids can't read. Good luck with your business when all the wealth has moved to a tiny group of people who will soon move in and take what little you have. Good luck with your small business when your customers are dead from bad peanut butter and jelly sandwiches topped with tainted spinach. Idiots.

@ Houston:

The sheer foolishness of your post can rightly be called... incredible. First, the stimulus bill, by nature of how little is marked for infrastructure, and by the ridiculous "shovel ready" requirement (PopSci covered the issue rather well the other week), isn't going to do anything to solve infrastructure problems. So your first point fails. Your second point also fails: education issues in this country cannot, and will not, be solved by tossing more money at the problem. That's a fact that is backed up by a plethora of a research: I suggest you go out and read some of it. Your third point is so foolish it barely deserves a response, however, suffice to say, the free market is a check on the argument ad absurdum you've presented. Your point on the bad PBJ sandwiches and spinach is just... well, I didn't think it could get worse.

Now, with that said, I think you might want to reconsider your last word. There's an old saying, those who live in glass houses shouldn't cast stones. Will all due respect, that's a saying you should live by ;).

Neocons.....
By AZPADDY1 Feb 19th 2009 at 12:18 pm EST (Updated Feb 19th 2009 at 12:18 pm EST)
Incredible that an American politician would agree to share a stage with anyone displaying a swastika. It just underscores what the Republican party has degenerated into. We have finally elected a rational, intelligent, adult thinking president, and the response of the republican party ( who's policies and practices have put America in peril ) is to display the Nazi symbol??

The beast shows its face. The photograph of Malkin with the swastika bearing nazi should serve as a wake up call to all patriotic Americans that we are under attack from an enemy within. The real terrorists are the neocons relentlessly attacking our president, and all that middle America stands for.

If you doubt this, look at what the neocons do....NOT what they say. All of our institutions are under attack. They are hard at work "outsourcing" America to corporations. The falacy of the "liberal" press is one of the Big Lies the neocons have succeeded in establishing. Michelle Malkin, Bill OReilly, Ruch Limbaugh et. all. are succeeding in destroying the America my father fought for in WWII.

To the average republican voters out there: If you really care about America and the future, you wouldn't be drinking the kool-aide of the hysterical right.

Don't be stupid! Wake up.

One person puts the swastika in the 'O' for Obama and suddenly the Republican party is a bunch of Neo-Nazis? Did you miss the last 8 years of numerous "Bush = Hitler" references, bumper stickers, t-shirts, videos, images, and the like?

Miss it? How could the Bush administration be missed? f it weren't for the republicans in control America wouldn't be in the fix she's in now. What I miss is the America when Bill Clinton was in the White house. Say what you will re Slick Willy, but you have to admit America was healthy then. Hard to believe it took only 8 years and an overgrown frat boy on extended spring break to ruin things.

BTW, the only republicans to blame for the mess were in is the ones in Washington. They duped the rank and file voters of their party and paid the price. Too bad America's paying too....

Thank God for the stimulus
By Unknown user Feb 20th 2009 at 10:22 am EST (Updated Feb 20th 2009 at 10:22 am EST)
OMG, thank God the stimulus is coming!!! I mean, these right-wing nuts who think capitalism is the way are CRAZY. I mean, look at what capitalism has brought us to, is this what we want? Bush's bad policies will be affecting this country 100 years into the future, let's just hope we can keep electing people who will represent the people and not BIG OIL, BIG BANKS, WALL STREET, SMALL BUSINESS, omg on and on till you want to puke. OMG, do something for the people, in a few days they're coming to evict me from my house!

I wonder if Obama's efforts to revive the country would be better recieved by the naysayers if he would have reffered to it as the "recovery", or the "put America first" campaign. No......guess not. I don't think the naysayers voted for Obama anyway.

Remember that old saying that you'd see in so many company office hallways and meeting rooms? "Either lead, follow, or get out of the way!" That's good advice for the people upset that Obama is now the elected leader, and actually doing something......

Ridiculous
By User from West Palm Beach, FL Feb 25th 2009 at 10:12 am EST (Updated Feb 25th 2009 at 10:12 am EST)
Look **closely** at the sign.

The swastika is surrounded by an "O" next to "Bama".

The man is claiming OBAMA is a Nazi, not supporting Nazis, you nits.

Jeeeez. Why does someone have to explain this, are you really that stupid, or do you just think your readers are?

Argue with his point about Obama==Nazi if you want, but stop trying to paint him -- and thus Malkin -- with your stupid pro-nazi meme.

The only people shouting "Death to Jews" these days is liberal college professors and the speakers they bring to college campuses. It certainly isn't anyone on the Right.

Wow, West Palm Beach.......You were making sense till the last sentence. Another right wing hysterical reaction.

It wasn't only the Jews who were slaughtered by Nazis, but I think you're aware of that.

BTW, please give specifics when accusing people of "shouting Death to Jews". I don't think you can.

The Nazi symbol has NO place on stage with an elected official, ANYWHERE in the United States - for ANY reason.

Also, Malkin and her ilk use the same time honored tactics the Nazis used in media then: shout a big lie long enough, and eventually people will begin to believe the lie.
