Wayne Allard: The Invisible Man.
That's how Time Magazine just described Colorado Senator Wayne Allard in their listing of the top 5 Worst Senators in the US Congress.
Quite a distinction our senior Senator has earned.

From Time.com:
In a Senate full of ambitious members, Colorado Republican Wayne Allard is so bland that his critics have dubbed him "Dullard." Now in his 10th year, Allard almost never plays a role in major legislation, even though he's on two key Senate committees, Budget and Appropriations. The veterinarian rarely speaks on the floor or holds press conferences to push his ideas. Few of the bills he has introduced over the past year have passed; in fact, since Colorado Democrat Ken Salazar entered the Senate last year, Salazar's legislative output has dwarfed Allard's, even though Allard has the advantages of seniority and of being a Republican in a G.O.P.-dominated Congress.

Time Magazine also list the Top 10 Senators.

I moved to Colorado in August of 2003 and didn't know he was a Senator for Colroado until earlier this year.

Troubling
By Larry Dunn Apr 17th 2006 at 7:33 pm EDT
This news is rather troubling to me, because at the rate he's going and in the general direction he's taking, can Ken Salazar be far behind? I truly hope not, but I can't help but think it.

Seantor Allard's Inaction
By Bill Waldron Apr 19th 2006 at 12:24 pm EDT
Our company ran into graft and corruption in regards to the new 500 million dollar US Embassy project in Baghdad. A US company was the low bidder and the project was given to a Kuwait firm that was 60 million higher for "political reasons". We reported this to Allard's office with little or no response. Check out David Phinney's article Baghdad Embassy Bonanza. An internet search will quickly turn up the article. Our company, Rocky Mountain Group, is mentioned in the article.
