I haven't posted in a while cause I've been busy and very frustrated with everything. I guess you can get used to just about anything.
When you have to suffer outrage after outrage, day after day, eventually it becomes commonplace and you barely notice it anymore.
Poor kids need healthcare? Screw 'em! They shouldn't have been born poor. They have the chance to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and really make something of themselves through hard-work and study. Just like our pResident did. It's hard work. I know that. It's hard being a "C" student, especially when your teachers/profs were paid or threatened to raise the grades to a "C".
If you have nothing to hide you shouldn't mind being spied on. Only Terrists and evil-doers don't want to be spied on.
Where's your flag lapel pin? The one with seven stripes and 20 or so white spots in the blue field, made by child labor in China?
Don't really want our troops to die for nothing? Why don't you support our troops?
Waterboarding was prosecuted by us in other miitary adventures and that was illeagal cause we weren't doing it. It's all in the way you look at the water. if you're looking down at a face that's under water, that's okay. If you're looking up through the water at someone holding you down while you struggle for breath, it doesn't seem quite so okay. I suppose if you have nothing to hide you shouldn't mind being tortured. (see: only terrists and evil-doers above)
Two months ago, global warming didn't exist, now it's a priority, as long as it doesn't cost anything.
Oh, my god! Iran is supplying weapons to the Iraqi insurgents, so they must be bombed. The biggest supplier of weapons to the insurgents? Huge Ammo dumps left unprotected; shipments of hundreds of thousands of rifles and machine guns unaccounted for and lost; millions of american dollars in CASH lost. I wonder if anyone could purchase weapons with millions of dollars?
A 2mm fetus is more important than a 2 ft child.
Gays are going to destroy marriage, because they don't have the same family values as David Vitters, or Newt Gingrich, or Randy Cunningham, or Larry Craig, or... (pick almost any of them at random and sing along.)
(Unless they want to work for free) Let's go kill us some brown people! I mean "Liberate". Spread Freedom like a big pool of blood.
All of this from people who are supposedly far more religious and holy than I could ever hope to be.
I'm sick of it.
Keep this one in mind: Matthew 5:9
Peace. Out.

From the NYT Sunday edition Link :
"So when Fox announced to his flock one Sunday in August last year that it was his final appearance in the pulpit, the news startled evangelical activists from Atlanta to Grand Rapids. Fox told the congregation that he was quitting so he could work full time on “cultural issues.” Within days, The Wichita Eagle reported that Fox left under pressure. The board of deacons had told him that his activism was getting in the way of the Gospel. “It just wasn’t pertinent,” Associate Pastor Gayle Tenbrook later told me.
Fox, who is 47, said he saw some impatient shuffling in the pews, but he was stunned that the church’s lay leaders had turned on him. “They said they were tired of hearing about abortion 52 weeks a year, hearing about all this political stuff!” he told me on a recent Sunday afternoon. “And these were deacons of the church!”
Further into the report is that the younger evangelicals are taking the scriptures of Jesus seriously on social justice and the environment.
So there is change a coming!
Some days almost everything I read makes me snarl some variation of "What the HELL is wrong with them? Are they CRAZY?!?!" Etc.
Tomorrow (some tomorrow) is going to be better because we're going to use this continual sense of pissed-off-edness as fuel to MAKE it better.
And anybody who doesn't like it better get out of my way. *mean eyes*
