Today is America Recycles Day and I hope it finds you all well. In the spirit of recycling (which is the right thing to do), and saving energy (ditto), and doing the right thing for the people and the planet, which many of us knew 35 years ago (remember Jimmy Carter?), I say we go to the polls and recycle every one of these spinless politicians (of whichever party) for some new ones who want to work for the common good instead of the Corporate Plantation Owners. If there is no other candidate running who will commit to do the job of the people--run yourself. Let's face it, could you do any worse?
The way I learned it in school was: "government for the people, by the people." A lot of our leadership seems to have forgotten that little lesson, so I say it's time to teach them a lesson. They say they want us to wait til this administration is out of office before they will do anything. I say, they can leave with this administration, and good riddance!
