Take a look at this letter Beauprez wrote in defense of Tom DeLay keeping his position as Majority Leader.

In it, Beauprez essentially argues that Republicans should have to be convicted of a felony before they are removed from leadership positions. You remember, this was the same battle that cost Joel Hefley his chair of the House Ethics Committee.

I'm just speculating here, but I'm thinking it's a letter that Beauprez really wishes he hadn't written today...
