Allard and the Peace Sign

Has anyone else received an e-mail response from Wayne Allard's office that had a hand making a peace sign in the signature line. Then later, you look for it and there's an "A" there, instead? Any ideas about how this works? (and NO, I'm not hallucinating)

Allard doesn't score very high on the "peacefulness index".

Ask ClearChannel's AM760 to drop Boyles

Peter is still at it and doesn't belong on "Progressive Talk". Advocating for bombing of religious sites is horribly extreme (right) Let them know how you feel! Tell ClearChannel/AM760 that Boyles doesn't belong on progressive radio and ask that they drop him as host of "Biker Nation" on Saturdays.

From 'Media Matters for Colorado':

On his May 16 show, 630 KHOW-AM's Peter Boyles alluded to the Allied bombing of Dresden during World War II to defend U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo's 2005 remark in which the Republican presidential candidate suggested the United States could bomb Islamic holy sites if Muslim extremists attacked the United States. Boyles also repeated falsehoods about 2006 Colorado immigration legislation and a 2007 measure regarding state identification requirements. Link

AM760 hosts Peter Boyles show?! Progressive Talk?!

Please write to AM760 and express your disapproval of their Saturday show 'USA Biker Nation' hosted by PETER BOYLES! Their 'Clear Channel' is showing!

This is my letter to them (via their website Link )

"I believe you are showing your disrespect and disdain for your listeners by airing a show whose host is the arch-fascist Peter Boyles. Come on! Ed Schultz and CBS News are bad, but Boyles is egregious. Didn't you dispose of one Saturday show because of their liberal remarks (on a, supposedly, liberal radio station)? Thanks to Reagan/Clinton/Bush efforts, you're about my only choice for moderate and liberal talk. Don't slap me in the face with Boyles!"

Remember, the media is complicit.

Tell Pelosi to re-investigate 9/11!

Why should we "fully implement"
the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission
when 9/11 wasn't fully investigated?

Tell Pelosi to re-investigate! This is not a matter of faith!

Dems may find 9/11 goals hard to complete
Link
When Democrats ran for Congress this year, one frequent pledge was to "fully implement" the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission, the bipartisan panel which investigated the terror attacks in 2001 and issued a report listing ways the nation could make itself safer. In the days after the Democratic victory, House Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi listed the 9/11 recommendations as one of the top priorities, to be acted on in the first 100 hours, when the 110th Congress begins work in January.

Faith is a necessary part of religion.
In democracy it's just laziness.

Impeachment of Bush and Cheney via the States!

today's date is 4/25/06

There IS a way to impeach Bush/Cheney without relying on the corrupt Republicans and spineless Democrats in Washington. Below is a letter I just sent to my representatives in the State House (including the fascist NeoCon, Owens [is that redundant?]). I encourage you and your friends to do the same. I heard about this on the Randi Rhodes show and she has some great links to help you compose your message (or just copy this one).

It is past time to punish the Bush Administration for their wrongs against the American People, the Iraqi People, and the World.

Please sponsor and or support a resolution calling for the impeachment of President George W. Bush AND Vice President Richard Cheney. The amendments reference Section 603 of Jefferson's Manual of the Rules of the United States House of Representatives allows federal impeachment proceedings to be initiated by joint resolution of a state legislature.

The resolution should call for impeachment based upon the Bush Administration
1) intentionally misleading the Congress and the American people regarding the threat from Iraq in order to justify an unnecessary war that has cost billions of dollars and thousands of lives and casualties; (i.e., no weapons of mass destruction and no relation to the terrorist attacks of 9/11)
2) exceeding constitutional authority to wage war by preemptively invading the sovereign country of Iraq;
3) exceeding constitutional authority by Federalizing the National Guard;
4) conspiring to torture prisoners in violation of the 'Federal Torture Act' and the Geneva Convention, and indicating intent to continue such actions;
5) spying on American citizens in violation of the 1978 Foreign Agency Surveillance Act; and indicating intent to continue such actions;
6) leaking and covering up the leak of the identity of Valerie Plame Wilson (and Brewster-Jennings), and thereby endangering the national security and
7) holding American citizens without charge or trial.

VERY Sincerely,

Oppose Wal*Mart's bank bid.

Granting Wal*Mart a bank chartter would violate U.S. policies that separate banking from commerce. Granting the charter would add to Wal*Mart's monopolistic power and would tie the well-being of the bank to the fortunes of the retail arm of the company. As history shows, if the charter were granted, Wal*Mart would then seek to open bank branches and work to force other banks out of business. Their policy is not to compete, it's to dominate. They will also do whatever they can to skirt regulations that don't work in thei r favor. They are trying first for a State-chartered industrial loan company because it would be exempt from the federal laws that prohibit commercial companies from engaging in banking.

I sent this letter to my Congressmen, today.

The headliner in Beauprez's newest "news"letter, denounces the actions of the " Authoritarian Leader Elected to Third Term in Belarus

On Sunday, March 29th, in an election marred by charges of fraud, voter intimidation and oppression of the media, President Alexander Lukashenka was elected to his third term as President of Belarus. In scenes reminiscent of those following the 2004 Presidential elections in Ukraine, the re-election of Lukashenka has inspired domestic protests as well as international disdain. ..."
