Families' health care left behind...

Wasn't this money ear-marked for child health care and other essential health-related services???

Gov. Bill Owens unveiled plans Monday to use most of the money still left in a $146.3 million pot of federal funds to fix Colorado roads and bridges.

Looks like a CDOT and developer holiday stocking. Predictable.

Suggestions do include the $10 million for LEAP and a drop of $500k for immunizations we've called for repeatedly, in addition to which...

Owens wants $15 million for economic development, with $2.5 million going for worker retraining.

Hmm, what's that all about?? This administration has been terrible at development, how exactly are they going to spend this $15 mill??

And these gems?

ý Charter schools $3.2 million

ý State Internet portal $7.5 million

Keep in mind that this program was Bush' way of sending dosh to Republican Governors to spend in an election year, without legislative oversight...

$7.5 mill for a state internet portal??? That can't be right....
